Hello everyone, this is my second blog post and I am happy that you all have decided to follow along on my journey. This will just be an update post as I will not be leaving on my trip until August 28th. Firstly I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through prayer, following along on my blog, instagram, or facebook, and all those who have given financially. I really appreciate all the support I have gotten over the last couple months that I have been preparing for this adventure.
As it has been a couple months from my last blog there are some things I need to update you all on. To start with, my fundraising has been going well, and I have been gotten a lot of support in all aspects of my preparation for this adventure. I have also gotten most of everything I need for this trip bought, like my backpack, tent, sleeping bag, clothes, and many other items. From the time I got my pack I have been training with it so I will be able to meet the physical requirements that will be needed at camp. I also had a going away party which was very fun and successful in that I got to share with many of you what it is I will be doing, and where I will be going. I am thankful the Lord has been gracious and allowed me to meet a lot of the physical needs that I have for this adventure. I also got to help out at VBS this year during the mission and snack time. The missionaries we were talking about are from Kenya, which is my first mission field, and I helped teach the kids. Teaching is something that I will be doing on this adventure so I am thankful that I got to get some experience before this trip.
The Lord has also been growing me spiritually in patience and reliance on Him. I am typically a very patent person but a couple times from the start of my preparations for this trip I got worried that something wasnโt going to work out. The Lord has provided every time in His time so I have learned to wait on His timing. I have also been reading Acts and getting to see what the apostles did and what they went through has helped me to rely on the Lord more as I know that what I am about to do would be impossible without Him. I got to see this from Paul in many situations and I am thankful to have Paul as a missions role model as I can follow in his steps in trusting the Lord and I know the Lord will provide.
Thank you all again for the support and love you all have given to me! I pray that the Lord would move in your hearts as I know He will mine. I do not leave for my trip until later this month, August 26th, but I am so excited to share with you all what their Lord is doing in all of these other places around the world, here on this blog, on my socials, and when I get back from the mission field! I love you all so much!
